The 1950s Park Forest House Museum is in an original rental townhome as it might have been, 1948-1953. Operated by the Park Forest Historical Society. Sponsored by AIMCO and
Central Park Townhomes.

Museum Hours

Wednesdays 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  (Please email before bringing a big group)

Saturdays  1 p.m. to 3 p.m.   

Closed January and most major holidays.
Group and School tours by appointment. Consult this page for special openings.

$5 for adults; children 12 and under are free with a paying adult

Group rates negotiable for large tours, school and scout field trips.

We need financial help with expenses of our new museum site.

The Park Forest Historical Society is accepting donations to "Adopt a POD".

Storage for the rest of our collection and office is costing over $190 per month. Rent for the museum is $300. If you can make a donation toward storage, or would like to Adopt the storage unit at $190, rent for a $300 per month, or help pay our utilities, please email the society or phone our President, Jerry Shnay at 708-747-3571.
